Koehler Electric designed the entire electrical system
for the new Genesis Systems Group plant located near the Davenport
Airport.
Preliminary budgets were developed by Koehler Electric and
then finalized after adjustments based on the overall project
cost restraints.
Complete Turnkey Services
Koehler Electric utilized in-house CADD operations to create
the site and floor plan electrical drawings. Complete installation
of the electrical system included:
- Site utilities - primary, secondary & telephone
- Lighting - building, security, sidewalk, parking lot
& signage
- 480v distribution for all standard power & "k" rated
power requirements for harmonics
- 480v distribution & control wiring for rooftop fans
& sidewall louvers
- Computer power distribution to each workstation with
separate neutral and ground
- 480v distribution and low voltage control for office
HVAC & zone dampers
- 900 feet of 480v bus duct was installed for power drop
connections to robots & equipment cabinets
- Underground trenching for installation of parking lot
lighting
- Data & Communications System
Koehler Cabling, a division of Koehler Electric, installed
a Lucent Technologies SYSTIMAX data and communications system
in the new facility. Fiber optic and 200 pair telephone backbones
were installed with connections to numerous stations throughout
the facility. |
