Koehler Electric installed Skytron Self-Focusing Fixtures in the labor and delivery rooms. This allows physicians to precisely direct the angle of the lighting utilizing infrared beams from a handheld remote. Placement of the fixtures was critical to insure proper operation. Special support mechanisms were designed and installed by Koehler Electric to accommodate the structural configuration of this floor of the hospital. Creating a Better Environment in Neonatal Intensive Care Softer "up-lighting" was utilized to create a softer and less sterile atmosphere. Task lighting was installed under cabinets to provide NICU staff and physicians with appropriate lighting levels for monitoring patient status. All outlets were color-coded to assist NICU staff in identification of proper placement of monitors and other medical equipment.
