Koehler
Cabling has installed cabling throughout the St. Ambrose University
campus.
Some projects included:
Campus
- 100 and 200 pair outside plant cable was installed to
support an 800 extension AT&T PBX.
- In addition, several extensions were added throughout
the campus and Koehler Cabling provided tone and tag services
for the existing cable.
- GigaSPEED cabling & fiber backbones were installed in
multiple buildings. Cabling was distributed between MDF's
and multiple IDF's.
Dorms and Townhouses
- 30 phone lines and outlets were installed using 25 pair
Category 3 backbone to each floor. This installation was
done in an old building and was accomplished with minimal
ceiling removal using surface raceway.
- Fiber backbone was run to the new residence center,
student services and 5 townhouses. Category 5 cabling
was installed in the townhouses.
New Library
- Koehler Cabling
installed a fiber optic backbone between the three floors
of this new facility.
- Approximately 600 category 5 outlets were installed
for voice and data, which included numerous desk outlets
for computers.
"I am very happy with the work Koehler Cabling has done. They
are concerned about doing a good job and are very responsive
to our needs. We were working with another installer on one
of our off-site housing projects and it was falling behind
schedule. When AT&T called Koehler Cabling for their assistance,
they sent someone out the same day and got us back on schedule!
In many instances we haven't had to ask for the 'extras' to
be done. For example, in our new library project they checked
all the jacks pulled through the furniture, not just a portion
of them or just the wall jacks. They perform high quality
workmanship."
