The Communications Division was established over 25 years ago to service the ever changing electronic industry. All installations carry a standard warranty provided by the manufacturer, and for our more advanced users, a 20 year warranty is available for specified designs and installations.

Koehler was selected by Systimax to promote and install Systimax products in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. What does this mean for you? A 20 year applications assurance warranty on Systimax products, the Systimax GigaSpeed XL cable which provides you with reliable, high-speed performance with a 400% margin above current category 6 standards, and GigaSpeed X10D which will allow 10G over a UTP cable.

KOEHLER COMMUNICATIONS has over 25 years of experience in expert design assistance, project management, installation and testing. We have a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCCD) on staff to provide design assistance on your most challenging projects. Our technicians have strong communications cabling backgrounds and are factory trained to install numerous communication products.

Ongoing service is an important factor in maintaining total service to our clients. We provide a cabling service hotline 24hrs a day with rapid response to handle emergencies.

Equipment Capabilities

KOEHLER COMMUNICATIONS has state-of-the-art installation practices and Level IV testing equipment for copper installations, such as Fluke and Wavetek. In addition, we have an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) as well as power meter testing equipment and a fusion splicer used for fiber optic cables.

Project Management

KOEHLER COMMUNICATIONS provides project management and ongoing site supervision through out the project, anticipating and then preventing bottlenecks that create needless delays in schedules. We can also provide assistance in determining and authoring specifications.

Cable Testing & Warranty

KOEHLER COMMUNICATIONS technicians use the latest testing equipment to ensure proper performance and bandwidth required for today’s equipment and future growth. All category 5E, 6, and fiber optic lines are tested to meet standards certification. Fiber optic lines are also tested for conformity within dB loss tolerance levels. Cable performance is the documented and provided to the customer for future reference.

All materials and workmanship is warranted for a minimum of one year after installation. Systimax products are warranted for 20 years. A unique 20 year Extended Product Warranty and Applications Assurance Program is provided for all certified Systimax projects. The Systimax SCS Applications Assurance Program covers all applications currently contained in the Systimax SCS Performance Specifications. In addition the Assurance Program will cover any application introduced in the future by recognized standards or users forums that use TIA/EIA 568-B or ISO/EC IS 11801 for UTP channel specifications for cabling.
